I'm just finishing DT222 myself but we share a lot of courses with the DT235 students, and I know them well. I think it's worth doing this course alone for the work placement in 3rd year imo. They are changing some aspects of it for next year afaik so I don't know how similar your experience would be. It sounds like they are making it better though so it can only be a good thing! Post any specific questions you have.
