Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi,

Looking at both post grads in DCU, the HR Management and the HR Strategies.

Would appreciate any thoughts on either, and practical outputs from them, if anyone here has experienced either.

    Thanks,

    P

    Hi P

The MSc in Human Resource Management is a one year full time programme and is designed for graduates (both business and non business students) who wish to develop their knowledge and competence further in the area of HR or start their career in HR. The programme also accepts people who have some work experience who wish to change career. The programme covers strategic and international HR issues and organisational change together with a number of HR functional areas including recruitment and selection, employee performance and knowledge management. The programme also includes a dissertation/research report. This full time programme is open to people with HR expertise but the MSc in HR Strategies would be a better fit as it is designed specifically for HR practitioners.

The MSc in Human Resource Strategies is more focused on examining strategic approaches to human resource issues in organisations and is designed to support HR professionals to move into more senior HR positions in their organisations. The programme does not examine functional HR topics such as recruitment but rather focuses on strategy, talent management, coaching and mentoring and international HRM.

Both of the programmes are CIPD accredited at the highest level.

    M.

    Hi

There are a number of key differences between these two courses and which course would be best would depend on your background

    1. The MSc HR Management is full time and is typically designed for recent graduates. However, there has been students accepted onto the course with significant relevant work experience. Students can be from business or non-business backgrounds.

    2. The MSc HR Strategies is part time and is typically for people working in HR or related areas as a unique feature of the course is that you can use work-based situations for your assignments.

Any other information you need, just ask!
