Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Arsene Wenger is much greyer than the last time he lead a team out to win a trophy, the Gunners last final against Birmingham City was a shocking loss and precipitated a disastrous end of season slump so its lucky this game is the last of the domestic season! :pac:

Hull (City Tigers) arrive at Wembley at the end of a hard fought first season back up surviving the chop largely due to the January signings of Jelovich and Long both of whom are Cup-tied of course. That they have made the final means Hull are now in the qualifiers for the Europa League - a surreal prospect just a few months ago and a potential bad dream should they reach the group stages.

Can Wenger banish the silverware drought, can Steve Bruces charges create yet another FA Cup final upset?

There's probably more chance of winning the lotto tonight than seeing this

    housemartins.jpg

but the Cup is about romance of the underdogs and what could happen.

Possible Hull City team to face Arsenal: McGregor; Davies, Bruce, Figueroa; Elmohamady, Rosenior, Huddlestone, Meyler, Livermore; Aluko, Fryatt.

Subs: Harper (GK), McShane, Chester, Boyd, Quinn, Sagbo, Koren.

Possible Arsenal team to face Hull City: Szczesny; Sagna, Mertesacker, Koscielny, Monreal; Arteta, Ramsey; Podolski, Wilshere, Ozil; Giroud.

Subs: Fabianski (GK), Jenkinson, Rosikcy, Cazorla, Flamini, Oxlaide-Chamberlain, Kallstrom.

    Referee: Lee Probert

    Come on the Gunners.

  • Realistically I think Arsenal will win in 90 minutes but ya never know.

Hull are worth a punt @ 4/1 to lift the trophy.

Hard to see anything other than an Arsenal win today. After their last cup final, and also Wigan's victory in last year's final, Arsenal shouldn't be taking anything for granted, and that should be enough to see them win their first major since 2005.

Arsenal to win to nil at 11/10. Don't see where Hull will score from.

Do it for the fans lads. And the dozens who won't be watching Atletico bottle it.

I think and I hope we have enough about us to see off Hull today I am nervous though

Hope Arsenal go on a scoring spree today.

Normally I like to see an underdog do well, but Bruce's record as a manager against the team I support has left me somewhat bitter towards any team he manages. :)

    Semi final Steve?!

I still can't believe Hull's run to the final. Southend, Middlesbrough, Brighton, Sunderland and Sheffield United. How easy was that?

One page (30 ppg), it just a fact that no one really gives a sausage despite the fact Wenger really really needs to win this and if he isn't holding the trophy it'll be "Arsenal in Crisis " across the media for the next week.

So if Hull open the scoring expect meltdown! :p

No. Most Arsenal fans are out looking at the match and couldn't give a flying fúck about Boards.

We'll let the players do our talking. Maybe You and other Liverpool fans should've done the same and then ye wouldn't be the laughing stock ye are.

    COYG.

I can never understand why some teams don't put a player on the back post. Stupidity.

Prepare for 85 minutes of Arsenal battering Hull defence now... whether they score or not is a different story

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 29,117 ✭✭✭✭Quazzie

    For how long?

Until the ball is cleared. It wasn't even close to being cleared there. Gibbs was on the front post. Why wasn't Cazorla either on the edge of the box or on the post. He is doing nothing else so at least in either of them two positions he might have stopped that goal. Jesus if my team conceded that goal in a Sunday league fixture I'd be bollicking them out of it.
