Leinster are genuinely stupid this year. It's weird.

If Ulster score there's not enough for Leinster to come back.

Keyes: "5 minutes left, they should take the points!"
    30 secs later...
Keyes: "They'll go down the line, you would think..."

Words can't even describe how stupid that was from Kearney. Ulster weren't going anywhere, what he did was illegal on multiple levels and the ref warned him several times from 5 feet away. He's put his team completely on the back foot, I'm actually livid

    What defence!!

Leinster's defense has been exceptional at times today.

Ulsters pack were out on their feet there, I dont think they were ever going to score.

Definitely hands on the ground there. Hodges refusing to be questioned may cost Ulster.

It is an all, Leinster getting away with it there

Pienaar knocked it forward. Ref said it right in front of him and he didn't complain.

Intensity from both sides is incredible.

I do think it was an Ulster hand though.

Wuhoo just about still another terrible performance and a win.

Pretty frenetic game, very entertaining. Gotta feel for Ulster.

    Madigan changed that game.

Wow... hearts in mouths there for the last 5 minutes. We're through, can't help but feel that it's a little bittersweet though. We still have a chance of the title, but you can't help but feel that we really don't deserve it...

Ulster bend over once again for Leinster, who is surprised?

Kearney didn't release. It was an Ulster penalty before the knock on became relevant.

They'll be laughing at narrowly missing out on the first Scottish home final?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,636 ✭✭✭✭Tox56

I'm actually stunned, Leinster's ability to be hopelessly unconvincing but somehow get over the line is scary. When they talk about squads having a winning mentality... jesus

So...how do we feel about Madigan for the final? Don't think it will happen (and he has partly made his own bed) but he made a difference today.

sick of losing. Not good enough.

Will the concussion rule bod out of the final?

Based on Leinster's performance. You know thats what I meant.

I felt my love for Madigan waning somewhat at times this season, but I felt my love for Leinster suffering too, today he was good.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,876 ✭✭✭✭bilston

Ah feck. Another tough one. At this stage I think Anscombe is an unlucky coach. Harsh as it seems I think we will win feck all with him.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 24,258 ✭✭✭✭Buer

Madigan was a livewire and really put down a marker when he came on. However, giving him MOTM is stupid. Toner broke his boll*cks out there for 80 minutes and was massive.

Ulster fans should be ashamed of their team, walking off laughing and joking with their pals from Leinster, spineless and don't seem to care about losing.

It didn't look too bad, I hope it doesn't, but obviously shouldn't play if it's not safe.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 37,978 ✭✭✭✭irishbucsfan

Based on Leinster's performance. You know thats what I meant.

I don't think they'll be laughing. They have played Leinster too many times to think they're going to be anything like favourites going into the final. It will still be an upset if Glasgow win.

And they'll be massively disappointed Ulster couldn't pull it off.

We do deserve it. Despite the obvious coaching failings we showed character in spades. Counts for a lot.

Leinster weren't good, but they came away with the win again; its been the defining trait of their season. Deserving that the sides who finished first and second in the league make the final. It would have been interesting to see who would have won the battle of the booing fans had Ulster the Scots in the final though.

I only saw bits and pieces of the game, but what I saw was pretty meh.

What did people make of our 12/13/15 combo?

There were some interesting stats about where those tries have come from before the Munster game. They don't score many in bigger games, and they've scored the least try bonus points etc.

If you think they are clear and deserving winners of the league, what makes you think that?

I never said that, I was only responding to your point about them not scoring many tries. Re TBPs, Leinster have 8, Glasgow have 4 - without looking at the individual matches that would just suggest that Leinster scored more tries against weaker teams, and Glasgow more than held their own in most games.
Looking at the head to head games, Leinster lost 12-6 away and won 28-25 at home, so not exactly much between the teams there either.
Glasgow are the most improved team in the league over the last couple of years. Leinster appear to have gone backward. If the final was in Glasgow I'd fancy them, but home advantage should favour Leinster
