300 million year old "Godzilla shark" found

    Unfortunately it wasn´t huge (3 meters long) unless compared to the much smaller creatures that lived along with it.
    It got its name because of its teeth:

    Not the first prehistoric creature to be nicknamed Godzilla- the sea crocodile Dakosaurus andiniensis was too, due to its short, dinosaur-like jaws, different from then-known sea crocs:

    There also a large (5.5 meter) coelophysoid named Gojirasaurus, but unfortunately, it seems it may be a chimaera.

    I do believe they announced the discovery of Galvasean around about that time of year :D
