    Saracens
Try of the Season. Unreal from Giteau

Why on earth is Giteau in France and not playing for Australia

Fortuitous bounce my arse, Mitchell attacked the ball, Goode went for the tackle instead.

    Fortune favours the brave Barnesy.

Snubbed by Deans, now on mega bikkies from Toulon.

Botha and Burger have smashed each other a few times so far.

I am waiting for a Burger - Burden collision, there will be fatalities

Why are Sky so obsessed that the move was pre-planned? If anything it would be more impressive if it was completely improvised

Why not? It had it all.

    A set play.
    Inside pass from Wilkinson.
    The kick from Giteau.
The chase catch and offload from Mitchell
The support hand off and finish from Giteau again.

For me that is the try of the season. Better then the IRFU tries picked certainly.

Listing every component of a try doesn't make it the best try of the season. It was a good try and a little spark of magic from Giteau. Nothing more.

Jonny schools Farrell on how to score a drop goal. Again.

That's a huge 3 points given the timing. Can't see Saracens coming back into it from here. Is Farrell playing?

Far too easily impressed or don't watch too many games?? Good try, but not even in the top 20 for the season.

There were better Irish tries than the tries the IRFU picked

It was far more then that but you have your opinion set so we'll leave it at that.

It was an excellently executed play in the biggest club game in the NH .

Goode is having a stinker. That was utterly dense and could have been curtains if he was taken down a little quicker.

Not the greatest quality so far but maybe Toulon will relax in the second half and put some phases together

Thought the break was on once Barritt dummied there. Pretty enjoyable stuff.

    Saracens
Ah Brits, why didn't you overcook that a bit more to be penalised for throwing the ball out? :D

I was concerned after the first 20 but the try has changed everything.

Goode and wigglesworth have been ****house.

I thought it was an excellent try given the context and general superiority of the defences in this game.

Saracens look clueless when their physicality is matched. Real rabbit in headlights stuff at the end there.

One of the top tries in the context of the impenetrable Saracens defence. Had to be imaginative to get past it. Sure there are prettier tries, but the opposition defence has to be taken into account.

Good reminder of the class of Brown who is a much better 15 for England.

Tour de force by Craig Burden.

He seems to be fired up......no doubt the Toulon Boks are out to inflict pain on there countrymen from the opposite team.

Yeah, OK. Great try, I agree. But try of the season? Anyway, I'm not going to split hairs over it. Bit of an underwhelming game so far, and Saracens need to score next. Buer you shouldn't put the mockers on, given NH v Leinster...

In a pub in Naas watching this. You swear Heaslip scored for Leinster the way the crowd cheered the Toulan try!

Yeah but Toulon aren't Northampton and Saracens ain't Leinster!

I hope they come back into it but Toulon generally have their strongest spell after the break and they've a serious bench to come on also. It will take a massive showing from Saracens to get back in front from here. They need to get Ashton coming onto the ball in midfield.

Farrell has created the square root of f*ck all thus far and Wigglesworth has looked pedestrian in his direction. Strettle getting bundled into touch was a result of Wigglesworth skipping two men in a tight space with multiple defenders available to cover. Stupid direction.

Yeah, Wigglesworth is a pretty predestrian SH. I agree more ball needed for Ashton. I think Saracens should largely shelve the boxkick too, and keep more ball in hand.

There was a massive gap between 12 and 13 for Toulon if someone had the smarts to go on a short ball. Barritt ended up having to truck it up but a short pop would have had someone clean through.
