Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I've had a couple of scary moments with gusts of wind hitting me but none that would take you off the bike like that.

Without sounding like a bollix, I'd take their story with a pinch of salt. I'm guessing he was canning it and came off and she's backing his story to save face and Garda investigation.

You'd be surprised. Mountainous areas are highly dangerous like that - winds accelerate between peaks and emerge the other side like air-cannon. Professional mountaineers get whipped off high peaks that way quite often.

Yeah, was driving over in mayo past the nephin beg range and the wind was unreal, some of the gusts were scary. It can depend on the bike too, some are effected more than others.

My brother was stopped dead from about 100km/h by a gust of wind, lucky it wasn't from the side.

 I'd say there was more than wind involved in that stop :P
