    Hello,

It is amazing that Ireland has this forum, but here is feedback:

    Reason:
    - When people google something, lets say a women google's gardening ireland etc , and she is directed to boards.ie , now she may know how it all works, how to become a member and all that, maybe she wants to post and get active on the community,

    Feedback:
=> So, have a message displaying to guests something like, Click here to Register now and get full access on the forum, post,reply,profiles,etc...

Sure, people know how to register on forums, but others do not, or some may really want too but don't know how, so what's wrong with having the suggestion above???

Between the banner ads and notices, there's already a lot going on when someone drops into a page. It might get annoying quickly to get another message in your face every time you landed on a Boards.ie page.

And surely everybody knows the concept of an Internet forum by now? And even if they attempt to reply they will see a prompt that says:
Not a member? Signup for a Boards.ie account

It's ludicrously easy to sign up - there's only 5 fields to complete (including "confirm password"). Also, I think after someone joins they get a link to an FAQ which explains how the forum works. Not that anyone ever reads it.

yeah, its easy to sign up which is great,

but why not add just one small message box at the top that is not annoying and looks nice.

and of course you guys can just test them out first ????

There is already a message box, where the user would normally write a response:

It will also take you to a notification page to register if you try to Quote or Post Reply or Post Thread:

The Homepage also has a prevalent box for Log-in and Registration:

In all above cases, a Signup link is perpetually in the top-right of the website navigation bar.
I would think that is plenty sufficient?
