Would anyone be interested in meeting once every two weeks to play a few tunes?

    Midlands area?

Where abouts in the midlands are you? Would there be any regular trad sessions in your area? They seem to be getting popular again and a great way of meeting other musicians and picking up new tunes.

Haven't gone to many sessions so wouldn't know where they would be going on. Would Mullingar would be a suitable location?

Check your local pubs and thesession.org and your local CCE.
We have 4 sessions in Maynooth:)

Galway might be too far for you. But there's a Group set up on the Meetup Website called "Open (Traditional Irish) Music Jam Session (Galway.)" Not sure if this Group is up-and-running though. There might be other Trad. Groups on Meetup in the Midlands too. : )
