Brandon Bay or Escargots Half?

    Hi,

    I'm looking for a half marathon on 2nd weekend of July>
    I've found 2 events:

    Brandon Bay Half Marathon
    Marathon des Escargots Full/Half/10k

    First event looks interesting but I'm a bit confused by a surface. Anyone tried to run half marathon along the beach? I think it should be more difficult. I also not sure what kind of runners should I wear (I have pair of Nike Flyknit racers, but they are for road races. I have also inov-8 talon 212, but never run more than 12km in those runners).

    Can you help me with pros / cons of this race? As far as I understand that will be first time they do Brandon Bay race, so that can be a con too...
