Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    ....awful....RIP....... :(

    Ode To The Motorist

“And my existence, while grotesque and incomprehensible to you, generates funds to the exchequer. You don't want to acknowledge that as truth because, deep down in places you don't talk about at the Green Party, you want me on that road, you need me on that road. We use words like freedom, enjoyment, sport and community. We use these words as the backbone of a life spent instilling those values in our families and loved ones. You use them as a punch line. I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a man who rises and sleeps under the tax revenue and the very freedom to spend it that I provide, and then questions the manner in which I provide it. I would rather you just said "thank you" and went on your way. Otherwise I suggest you pick up a bus pass and get the ********* ********* off the road”

Gutted, I naively thought he was on the mend. Didn't realise how serious his condition was.

    RIP Simon

Why would you want to watch someone else's misfortune until you know the outcome. A lot off the top road racers have de-friended people posting the video.

2 deaths in 3 race meetings.....Media are having a field day with this.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,615 ✭✭✭prunudo

I haven't seen anything in the media but I'm sure it the same as normal. They love printing bad and horror stories about motorcycling. Never hear race results or anything positive about the all the charities that are helped. But as soon as there's a death they can't help themselves printing sensationalist crap.

Here's a good article about the sport
