Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

It's a pity Brian Crowley was prevented from going for the Presidency. He'd make a better President than Michael D.

    He would not.

He had a successful term as GAA president and people voted for him on that basis I reckon.

It's like it's the first time he has ever spoken in front of a crowd... I mean the guy was the head of the GAA, you would think he's more used to public speaking than any of the others.

We're lucky to have someone as intelligent and progressive as Michael D. in the Dáil.

I reckon if Michael D. was offered the Dukedom of Leinster by The Queen, he'd be snapping it up in a flash. His affected accent on his visit to England was embarrassing. So much for his socialist leanings.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,585 ✭✭✭✭Lady Chatterton

Phil is seriously irritating, she is like the MEP version of Regina Doherty.

  • Registered Users Posts: 850 ✭✭✭celticcrash

Brian Crowley has more make up on than the two women.

In fairness, he probably would have been a better Fianna Fail candidate than Sean Gallagher. But that's not really saying much.

I love Michael D and I think he is a good president but the affected accent was embarrassing, what the hell is wrong with the Clare/Galway accent anyway?:D

What's the story with voting for the European Commissions president?

  • Banned (with Prison Access) Posts: 18,184 ✭✭✭✭Lapin

    Lowry Syndrome?

Dunno about that. Crowley is an honest hard working man. Pity he's attached to a party of crooks.

Lowry on the other hand is an out and out crook.

I can't for the life of me understand the mantality of those who continue to vote him in.

A real blight on Irish politics.

It's great the way that every body gets an equal shot at publicity for the elections... Equal air time... And then you see the 100 billion posters that FF have plastered all over the countryside... If you ever pass through Kill, that smarmy James Lawless' head smirking down at you from every lamppost.

First time hearing Liadh Ni Riada speak. Simply streets ahead of the rest tonight. Looks a dead cert now to get elected on that performance alone.
Maybe wasted though in Europe, think we badly need her in Dail Eireann.

Not my constituency but Liadh Ni Riada kicked the arses of the lot of them.

    Deirdre Clune is useless.

Its like Miriam just swapped wigs with Claire :D

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,585 ✭✭✭✭Lady Chatterton

I'd love to know how much money Deirdre Clune has spent on her campaign, I'm seeing her posters and her campaign van everywhere.

  • Registered Users Posts: 581 ✭✭✭DubVelo

Didn't warm to Ní Ríadha tbh, Crowley very slick but how can you trust an FF?
    Thought Phil did well.

Why is this panel so full but the last had only 4 people? Very biased

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 8,657 ✭✭✭CountyHurler

Claire is gorgeous, but she's not as sharp as Miriam or Keelin Shanley..

I was thinking that!!! Would 3 groups of 5 not be more appropriate?

No i think they should have to resign their Dail seat before running, wouldn't be as keen to run many of them if that was the case i'm sure.

I wouldn't be surprised if she ran for the Dail election in 2016. All she needs to do is nominate somebody to be co-opted to her MEP seat.

If Simon Harris had a tape-measure sticking out of his breast pocket he'd look like an undertaker or even Dracula. Scary looking like Christopher Lee.

Simon Harris is like the political equivalent of Doogie Howser M.D.

If she can change the law without even being elected yet what's the point in voting for her at all ?
