Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Can someone tell me what exactly 'working class' means these days?

Is it the dole class, and those working now the middle class?

I'm guessing Lynn Boylan doesnt believe that Gerry was in the RA either, yeah.. I'm still looking for one Shinner who tells the truth..

That would be a great question for Claire to ask "Do you believe your party leader was ever a member of a terrorist organisation?"

Now that would be interesting television!

Tom is great craic. I'd love to see him interviewed by someone like Jennifer Maguire or pranked by PJ Gallagher. He's on another planet altogether.

    McCullough's face says it all.

I think McCullogh is gas.. Did you see him at the start... leaning again the stand throwing a beady sideways to the camera like Edward Murrow.. He was only missing the fag out the side of his mouth..

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 27,349 ✭✭✭✭super_furry

Tom looks more and more like a Batman villain every time the camera goes to him.

I had to turn it off, when the FF candidate started talking about water charges and ability to pay, what I assume she is referring to is giving it to anyone who is on welfare for free. Seeing as €240 is nothing anyway, go research what they pay in other countries. My question to said FF candidate is, you have a pensioner on the contributory pension, no problem getting by V family with one earner, struggling to get by, would the family get the waiver as its based on ability to pay? The level of economic illiteracy here infuriates me the more time goes by, you would think the politicians would try to strike some balance between running the country soundly and steadily (and trying to court votes) but no, I'm sure they would undo a lot of the good work, cut taxes left right and centre, few years down the road, **** hits the fan again, they have to reimplement everything that they just finished cutting and round and around we go!

Does Jim Tallon turn up for anything.

Lets hope for his own sake he turns up at the polling station on Friday.

Could be embarrasing if he becomes the first person ever to receive null points in a Euro election.

He has been censored before by RTE in previous elections. Fair enough he is a nut but no worse than some of the others on show.

No point in any new green taxes unless they are EU wide, our carbon taxes make us uncompetitive while the other states take avantage at our expense.

I do think Eamon Ryan is a very nice and honourable man.
Even in the FF/Green government I felt he was trying his best.
If I lived in Dublin I would vote for him (and then leave Dublin ;))
