Does anyone have experience with this type of onion - planted last year for first time, some did well others did not do so well, no uniformity whatsoever. They store pretty well though. Again this year, I bought 2 packs by mail order, which were in an extremely poor state, but I had enough good sets to cover the required…

Again this year, I bought 2 packs by mail order, which were in an extremely poor state, but I had enough good sets to cover the required area and planted them. It appears to be a repeat performance. I have Sturon and Centurion onions growing as well and these are doing very well. The reason, I tried the Santero is on account of these being resistant to mildew etc. etc.
