Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Clutch Slipping on Pit Bike

    Folks,

I come knocking on the door looking for some help again

I have the following pit bike Nesbitt.jpg that i'm having endless problems with the clutch. It just continues to slip. I've replaced the clutch plates (which did not have any wear). I also changed the oil as I though it may have been standard motor oil causing slip, still no resolve.

Can anyone give me a suggestion as to what to try next...

is it semi auto? if so it will be the centrifugal clutch thats causing you problems. the shoes go out on springs, if its been ragged then the drum will be worn or the shoes worn (both even) possibly even springs missing or weak

Thanks for the reply - The bike is fully manual. It has has a new basket and springs. Everything that could have been replaced has been. It's a whole new clutch unit but still the problem persists.

Oh I thought all pit bikes had no clutch lever, if that's the case then look at the free cable length it sounds like it's not releasing the plates enough
