mobile broadband data plans

    Do any of the mobile company have real pay as you go mobile broadband data plans where any credit not used can be refunded or carry on to next month?

    No Afaik
    But you wont find better than Meteor's €10, 30 day contract at the moment with a 20gb allowance IMO

    i would only be sending the odd photo. can some of the 10 be used for calls?

    Might want to clarify what exactly your looking for?
    Mobile broadband or a data add on for your phone account?

    data add on that does not have to be used in one month or will carry over

    Below from Meteor if you are only sending the odd photo it may be the best option!



    Billpay customers are charged for internet access at 70c per day, for a 50MB allowance where they do not have a data add on. If you use more than your 50MB in a day you will be charged 2c per MB for this usage.

    If you use data regularly, you may be better to use of our great data add ons, pay once a month to cover all of your mobile internet! Check here for details

    PAYG customers are charged for internet access at 99c per day, for a 50MB allowance where they do not have a data add on. If you use more than your 50MB in a day you will be charged 99c per MB for this usage.

    that is 99 cent plus 30 cent for the picture I would question that having a data add on that must be used or lost is a contract not pay as you go

    Meteor Prepay Internet Add-ons July 2013

    The following terms and conditions of the Meteor Prepay – Internet Add-ons - are in addition to Meteor's general terms and conditions of service, www.meteor.ie. which also apply to the Meteor Prepay – Internet Add-ons. Together, these terms and conditions and the Meteor general terms and conditions of service constitute a legally binding agreement between Meteor and you, the customer. In the event of any conflict relating to the operation of these add-ons, the terms and conditions below shall prevail.


    Meteor Prepay internet add-ons are open to all new and existing Meteor customers on Anytime Choices who activate their add-ons by opting in.
    Meteor Prepay internet add-ons are offered in 500MB and 1GB increments, (“the Internet Add-ons”) over 30 days at €4.99 and €9.99 respectively.
    The applicable Intenet Add-on will automatically be applied to your account each thirty days unless you unsubscribe from your data add on.
    If there is insufficient credit on your account at the end of each 30 days, the Internet Add-on will automatically deactivate and you will have to re-subscribe to have the Add-on re-applied to your account.
    A thirty (30) day monthly allowance of 500mb and 1GB of internet usage, the depending on add-on activated will apply each 30 days, (“the Monthly Allowance”). Any internet usage beyond the Monthly Allowance will be charged at the standard day pass rate for internet usage.
    Eligible Customers who do not use up their Monthly Allowance may not carry over unused Monthly Allowance to the next month.
    The Offer excludes free internet usage whilst roaming. Standard roaming rates apply and are available on www.meteor.ie.
    Meteor reserves the right to vary or amend these terms and conditions or withdraw the Offer in whole or in part at any time.

    Is 02 and/or android different.? i know someone who can send photo in text for 25 cents on android/02 no data plan. 02 confirmed they do not charge for internet access to send photo

    O2 is the network the phone is on, Android is Googles operating system used on a lot of touch screen calls

    how about the 48months.ie gudio plan, €10 per month all in, this includes a data allowance, i use it all the time, as i am a low user, never any grief with them.
