Also, did everyone see the short film called Feast before the main feature? The one with the little dog munching everything with his owner as they grow up. Adorable.

Wasn't expecting a short at the start but yeh, loved it.

Feast was very cute, but jesus you wouldn't want kids taking it as an example of diet or how to treat a dog :pac:

Enjoyed it all but found the second half way inferior to the first. Turned into a Marvel movie in miniature with the film devolving into the same old "villain wants to open another dimension and heroes must stop him!" climax (really when are we going to bury this plot device?). At least it was visually coherent and didn't take up 130 minutes of my time though and the first half of the movie is really fresh, funny and interesting.

the other side reminded me of guardians of the galaxy

I thoroughly enjoyed this film. Sure, there wasn't a lot of originality throughout – it was part Terminator 2 (adolescent trains obedient robot for his own, sometimes aggressive, bidding) part Short Circuit (literal-minded artificial intelligence persistent tries to help those around it) part Demolition Man (a vision of the future where two major cities have combined into one – 'San Fransokyo'.

But the animation was truly stunning, not least the opening shots over the city. I did feel a little choked up toward the end, to tell the truth. It may seem like it's setting up a franchise, but I'd certainly go see a sequel.
