    neowin.net/news/shout-ok-google-at-your-pc-to-search-the-web-with-your-voice

The new Chrome update lets you voice search if you shout OK Google at the Mic, after fiddiling with the settings.

Give it a year or two before we get disclosure that such services are programmed covertly to flag trigger words like bomb Allah etc

Maybe not at first but by the time android 6 or 7 phones roll out and the feature is considered commonplace as to be forgettable, it will be slipped into the code

This has been available for a while as I seem to remember enabling it back in January or February. Maybe I was on the beta version of Chrome.
Seems to work well but I look like an gombeen shouting commands to the pc when in a quiet office!

Google Now is integrated into Chrome also as of today I can see my Google Now stuff on the PC. I find that pretty handy.

"It may be worth noting that the feature has been in the public eye for Chrome since February, but only those who signed up to the beta "early access" scheme could take advantage of it. "

I trust Facebook to not turn on their new listening feature unknown to users.

    forbes.com/sites/kashmirhill/2014/05/22/facebook-wants-to-listen-in-on-what-youre-doing/
“We’re not recording audio or sound and sending it to Facebook or its servers,” says Facebook spokesperson Momo Zhou. “We turn the audio it hears into a code — code that is not reversible into audio — and then we match it against a database of code.”

    ^^^lol

    I was being sarcastic:p

BTW your links are not real links - you need to make them links to make them work

I can't post links untill I have 50 posts (Boooo, new rules). I'm getting there.

    silly rule

Not as silly as posting links to child pornography. Which became an issue.

    Seriously!? By Bots??? Or???

Is it possible to just remove the hyperlink from the link and save people having to cut out the begining of a URL to make a post??

Why not anyway? Every word you say on the phone is recorded. If you encrypt it'll be saved until they can eventually crack it and have a listen.
