    Exactly as the title says.
    Is it possible for a short journey?
    Volkswagen Polo, 1998.
    If so, I would be intrigued to know how (preferably with pics)

    Would 5 not exceed the weight limit of the bars ?

    Probably depends on the bar's and kayak weights, but if it's 50kg load limit you will have a problem.

    Most I've ever had is four. i think the fifth might be the straw that breaks the camels back.

    Most bars will take 60 - 70 kg. Think room would be the problem. How short a journey? If really short, as in less the 1.5 miles, then make 2 trips.

    I've seen plenty of cars with 5 creekers lined up on their sides on racks. Although given that they were super width racks on Mondeos and 4x4's. For playboats I'd say just stack them vertically. 2 columns of boats.
