Cheque question

    Hi, my father has a BOI current a/c, I am just wondering is it possible for me his son to lodge the cheque into his a/c or do he have to do this personally himself?

    Also how long does it take for BOI cheque lodged to a BOI a/c take ?

    Hi just_did_it,

    Thank you for contacting us here on Boards.

    In this case, the cheque can be lodged at a Lodgment ATM in any Bank of Ireland branch. It would be necessary for your father to use his ATM or Debit card to lodge this at the lodgement ATM. 

    You can find the nearest branch to you here

    A Bank of Ireland domestic cheque would take up to three working days to clear.
