    Disgusted. Kerry never turned up.

    Worst display of the year.

Key decisions went against us on the day especially the momentum killing phantom thrown pass.

Congrats to Kildare a great physical display and fully deserving of the win on the day.

Gutted after all the great displays all year to go out like that and miss out on the chance to move up.

Congrats to Kildare yesterday, they fully deserved the win,

They stuck to their game plan throughout, worked very hard when they didnt have the ball, any score our lads got they had to work hard to get such was the pressure the Kildare lads put on them,Kildare looked the fitter and fresher team yesterday.

As for our own lads, its been a great year but at the end we have ended up in the same position as the start of the year,I hope yesterday's loss doesn't set back the team now for a few years,

Yesterday a few players took the wrong option when on the ball, some went for scores when a team mate was in a better position, they have kept the game simple all year but yesterday it was the opposite. Not enough of our lads performed on the day and you cant afford that on the big final days.

A few things annoyed yesterday, not making the cup presentations in the Hogan stand was disgraceful, every captain wants to climb the steps of the Hogan and lift the cup but yesterday the cups were given out in the Cusack stand which has no place to present cups, instead they used a brown table,it looked poxy tbh.

Also couldn't understand why the Cusack was open yesterday and not the Hogan like other years, someone said it might be that RTE wanted to show the crowd in the highlights package for the The Sunday Game.

Another thing was when Kerry corner back Thomas Casey was down injured he had to be helped off the field with the help of a mentor and the sub that came on for him as no stretcher seemed available, fair enough you might see this happening in a club game but for a final in Croke Park you would hope that the lower tier players get the same treatment as the top tier player.

How long did coverage of the three games get last night on The Sunday Game?

    About 5 minutes id say

there was a small article about the games in the IT today. Kildare manager was quoted saying that they should have automatic promotion to the Leinster qualifier group. (He also said Kerry should have been automatically promoted into the second division in the league). It's hard to disagree with him.

It's interesting that you have three games all considered very good and the game was in the balance pretty much until the last minute but the only televised one was a god awful hammering that was over as a contest after fifteen minutes.

While the draws have been known for a couple of months, the 2015 competitions were launched today, with slightly more publicity than usual it seems. The full details are on the GAA website here. One major positive this year is that the finals will be live on TG4, a nice change to the ridiculous 5 minutes highlights slot on The Sunday Game.

    The first round draws are:
    Christy Ring:
    An Mhí v Cill Mhantáin
    Doire v Maigh Eo
    Londain v Cill Dara
    Ciarraí v An Dún

    Nicky Rackard
    Muineachán v An Longfort
Dún na nGall v Tír Eoghain
    Fingal v Ros Comáin
    Ard Mhacha v An Lú

    Lory Meagher
    Warwickshire v Liatroim
    Lancashire v Fear Manach
    Sligeach Bye

Kerry will be hot favourites for the Christy Ring after their League success, having seen Kildare play Meath I feel they could be capable of causing an upset. I'd expect the usual semi final exit for my own county unfortunately, Kildare and Kerry seem to be pulling away from them every year.

In the Nicky Rackard I'd expect Armagh to do quite well having had a moderately successful 2B league campaign.

Quite hard to say who will do well in Lory Meaghar, Longford had some impressive performances in the preseason Keogh Cup, while Warwickshire had a successful league too.

Any new players with London? They made a burst a few years ago when they won all three competitions in a row but lost a lot of those fellas and seem to have gone backwards since. Have they anything decent these days?

Did they bring in something this year that the christy ring cup finals were to be played before a high profile game in the qualifiers? Or was it just a recommendation for sheedy's group..pros and cons for that move as it provides a bit of profile but denies the counties a chance to play in croke park, personally I think all the finals should be in croke park, preferably before the AI semis...I remember a few years ago Louth playing hurling in croke park before a semi and it being televised...

By right i suppose the Christy Ring cup, being the second tier competition to the Liam McCarthy should be played before the Senior AI final, but then you have the traditionalists who will say the minors deserve their day out. Do they though? How much more of a right do they have over the christy ring teams.

make a triple bill on all Ireland final day but then u would have the Nicky rackard/ Lory meagher finalists giving out . The triple bill of finals for the other tiers is the best idea that is possible

Perhaps have them on the Saturday before the All Ireland and anyone with an All Ireland final ticket also gets entry.

Yes, it's a bit like your wedding. Invite half the country and still the other half will be giving out.
