As a History teacher my feelings would be...

DBQ Gut feeling would be Treaty but in reality you as a student just can't take the chance here, you have to be prepared for all three.
Treaty- Make up/ disadvantages of Irish delegation
    - Major issues to be discussed and how they were resolved
    - terms of Treaty
    - reaction to Treaty and road to civil War

Euch con- Planning/ Major events/ SIGNIFICANCE

Belfast- Role of North in WWII/ Impact of WWII on Belfast

America- I would feel this year major possibilities of Domestic Factors/ Moon Landing/ Consensus and again I would be prepared also for general US foreign policy questions and Boycott/ Civil Rights. in reality in this section a lot of questions asked have to have a case study link

Ireland 1870-1914 Very hard to Know, Cultural Nationalism has been asked a huge amount will it come up again??
I have a sneaky feeling a question on Larkin/ Lockout/ Socialism might appear on it's own this year. Unionism always seems to be a good bet!

Dictatorship and Democracy- As with cultural Nationalism Russia/ Stalin seems to be there nearly every year but there will come a time when it will not appear, if preparing Russia I would feel it essential to have some info on Lenin too and Russia during WWII.

Anyway bottom line, good luck to everyone!

As a History teacher, what do you reckon should appear in the NI section?

Have never taught the Northern Ireland module except for the years it was the document question in 2010 and 11 so wouldn't be in a position to even hazard a guess, in our school we generally do the Ireland 1870-1914 section instead.

Any ideas on studying for European Retreat from Empire & the aftermath?
I'm going to cover India, Congo, Race relations in France and Britian and the Suez Crisis.

Due to an incompetent teacher, we only glanced at Mussolini in the last few days off term. I'm struggling to learn him now. Can I just focus on Hitler, Stalin and economic problems in Britain? If not does anyone have any good notes/essays on Mussolini?

If I were you, I'd only do Mussolini for joint-essays with other dictators. Essays like Church-State or Creation of Fascist State would suit ou best as you've already learned Hitler. You could still only do Germany, Britain and Russia, and would probably be fine.
