Need a Replacement for Sony MDR-W08Ls

Hi, Ive been using these headphones for about 10 years now but Sony went and discontinued them just as I broke my last pair:



Has anyone ever seen a pair like these? I cant use buds as they don't stay in my ears and I cant use ear muff types as they're never loud enough, I need that headband but also need the inner ear aspect.

These were the best headphones I ever tried and they were only ever about €8 a pair, now they're going for 10 times that on Ebay and Amazon.

I see you've just posted on head-fi, you'll get a good list there.

The usual Sennheiser PMX 685i reccomendations but as you mentioned
some of the reviews put ya off them.

Thanks, the problem with that design is that you cant just slip them on and off your head and leave them hanging on your neck when you feel like it, you have to take them off and put them in your pocket then spend 5 minutes untangling them when you take them out again. I know it sounds like Im being really picky but it really has messed me up both work and recreation-wise, nothing else comes close, I would have stockpiled 50 pairs of the MDRs if Id known they were going to be discontinued, they were both the cheapest and the best in my experience which is a rarething to find and if you read the threads on Amazon and other places about them a lot of people thought the same.

Look I know exactly I started off cycling myself with a behind-the-head set,
and on road sections I would just pull the right side down to use my ear for cars
coming up behind etc. Then they went tits up and I didnt bother with normal
in-ears thinking it wasnt worth the hassle, but tbh I just pull the right side
out and drop it inside my top and its no hassle to find and re-insert 1 handed.

You are tbh lol. Look. Just buy any set of behinds the head sets so.

I spent ages looking for a set but now after using normals as they work no bother for me.
Everyones ears are different tho. I know.

But the ones above cost fugg all to try out AND they do stay in place as you
wanted. Otherwise just go thru behind-the-heads til you find another new fav.

Nah earbuds just dont work for me Im afraid, they will not stay in my ears and Ive tried loads.

I would try a neckband but Im not spending €100 on a pair of headphones that will be broken or dead in 3 months of sweating on them, there doesnt seem to be a lot of cheap decent ones available.
