Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    5 year deal?

Can't see more than a couple of managers lasting 5 years in the big leagues now, idiotic that they still get these contracts.

If they skimp on the contract they get Tim Sherwood.

Ah now, no one outside a select few at the club actually know the detail of the contract.

Theres' probably a whole heap of performance and termination clauses in there, similiar to what was reported about Moyes' contract after it had been terminated.

The fans in general seem happy which will ensure the owners dont get any grief for another while.

So about 24 million pounds and half the price of David Luiz.

This wouldn't really be the go to transfer when looking for a symbol for a massively inflated transfer market.

Luiz 50 million was ridiculous alright but at least hes proved himself as a player over many seasons at the highest level and is an experienced international. Lallana has had one good season and is getting hyped up by the media. How many international caps has he even got?

Think he has three caps, he had a good first season and has had an excellent second season in the premership so you are paying for a player who has potential to keep growing as a footballer. I dont think the fee is too over inflateted for what you see. he is english therfore has a little added on for that but dont think its ludicrous for a player with prem experince, international footballer and is 26 so still a lot of good years in him.

To honest I would take Lallana at 25 ahead of Luiz at 50 every day of the week.

Both overpriced obviously but Luiz ridiculously so.

Would even be tempted to take Lallana at 50 over Luiz at 25 myself.

This one good season thing is really starting to piss me off. He has excelled at every level he's played and has now produced some incredibly high level performances over 2 seasons in the PL.

serious leadership issues at Southampton now - even Ricky Lambert supposed to be leaving now - very sad to see a well run club being destroyed in months
