Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Buying a 2nd hand scooter not sold in Rep. of Ireland

    Hi all,

I saw a second hand demo Honda scooter on sale by a dealer in Northern Ireland. The scooter is not sold here in the Republic.

I presume getting parts/servicing the scooter will be expensive. Can anyone who has/used to have a motorbike/scooter not sold in the Republic give any advice on their experience?

Engine parts aren't usually unique to a model anymore.
Even if they are the filters and such are available on line and usually cross reference to other models.
For body panels etc the dealer in the North who is selling them will be able to get them.
Its not really a big deal.
