I've been meaning to start this thread for awhile, the idea is to post interested related movies or docs to this forum. If people could post their suggestions in the same format as below it would make it easy to know what the film is about etc :)

My first two movie suggestions are:

    - God Loves Uganda (2013) -

    IMDB: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1874513/
An account of the American Evangelicals' attempts to indoctrinate their Christian Right beliefs in Uganda.

Saw this two weeks back and it really puts the situation in Uganda into perspective, in short America has alot to answer for.

    Trailer:

    - The Man from Earth (2007) -

    IMDB: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0756683/
An impromptu goodbye party for Professor John Oldman becomes a mysterious interrogation after the retiring scholar reveals to his colleagues he never ages and has walked the earth for 14,000 years.

Ok you may be asking yourself why I'm suggesting this film?, well its a very interesting concept and there's also a religious aspect included into it that's worth listening to. Its a nice "what if?" situation i think.

I really enjoyed The Man from Earth. Watched it again recently. It's a tad clunky in places, but I liked the premise. And The Greatest American Hero is in it. :)

    An Dubh ina Gheal

There's no IMBd link, and can't find it anyplace at the moment but this was excellent. Caught it on TG4 over Christmas. It seems we exported the whole of our disfunctional Catholic society to Australia, from the poorest of Ireland to the landed gentry including the various orders of priests and nuns only too happy to steal children away from unmarried parents with the full backing of the Irish governors.

"In this revealing documentary Louis de Paor returns to his once adopted homeland to explore the complex relationship between Indigenous Australians and the Irish in Australia. At the heart of this exploration is the story of the Stolen Generations, mixed race children who were taken away from their families under assimilation policies, and an Aboriginal resistance lead by 'Shamrock Aborigines', who saw theirs as a shared struggle against a common oppressor. Weaving social and personal history with poetry, An Dubh ina Gheal (Assimilation) reveals the hidden story of the Irish in Australia."

Posting in this since its all very much relevant, another movie worth a watch I'd say

    https://www.bbc.com/news/av/entertainment-arts-45278011/chloe-grace-moretz-my-brothers-tried-to-pray-the-gay-away
Chloe Grace Moretz's new film tackles the controversial issue of gay conversion therapy - an issue that's close to home for the actress.

In The Miseducation of Cameron Post, Moretz plays a teenager sent away to a Christian gay conversion camp in the 1990s.
