    Hi, noobie question alert.
    Do all telescopes show the object you're viewing upside down?Can this be corrected or would you even want to?Is it important?

    When the light goes through the lens it converges to a point and continues its path and diverges. There is a second lens placed just so that it catches this light and ssnds it to your eye but it is upside down after crossing over at the convergence point in the middle of the scope. There are erector lenses to upright the image but there is a small loss of light. In astronomy the upside down image is not overly important but having max light is.
    This is all in laymans terms so i apologise for any incorrect terminology!
