Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Nerves are hanging out of me.

Next goal really important. 3 nil and it's game over, 2-1 and it's squeaky bum time.

This ref is awful. Completely bottled Suarez's dive and set a precedent for himself so he had to let Milner away with it at the other end. And again he doesn't want to give another decision to Suarez so he bottles a penalty.

Liverpool defence is shockingly passive. No way should this be 2-2. Sure city have the momentum but both of those goals could've been stopped.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 30,308 ✭✭✭✭.ak

Another let off for Liverpool. I wonder if city can keep this up for 15 min tho.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 30,308 ✭✭✭✭.ak

Woah cracker. Against the run of play. Let's see if city can keep their heads. C'mon the pool.

Aside from city's purple patch I thought Liverpool could've won that 3-0. The defence was far too passive, the own goal in particular came from too many players standing off, afraid to commit.

    You mean from 35 - 90 mins?

Suarez should of been off and city had two penalties....., when they were on top liverpool were excellent but very lucky getting the win imo

  • Administrators Posts: 54,110 Admin ✭✭✭✭✭awec

City were on top from half time until Liverpool got their 3rd. They came back in to it a bit more before the break but after Liverpool's third goal they were beat.

Suarez lucky, two penalties yep but the Kompany challenge on Suarez in the box was a penalty too IMO.

Suarez shouldn't have been on the pitch at that stage :D

Also it was very very debateable!

Some turnaround from Dublin here. 8 points down at half time to leading with 10 minutes left. Going to the wire.

  • Registered Users Posts: 24,258 ✭✭✭✭Buer

So much for going to the wire. Destruction. 15 point swing in the scoreline and Dubs win by 7.

I think a draw would have been a fair outcome in the City match. The non-decision on Suarez was disgraceful for me. The referee had a perfect view of it and just didn't want to make a call. Liverpool winning makes the title race wide open. Chelsea are a massive challenge for Liverpool. They're very well equipped to take down top sides. Everyone thought it was City's to lose before the Chelsea match, and then Chelsea's to lose after. Still a lot of football to be played.

Blubba Watson. He's hard to watch when he wins. Once he started sobbing heavily on his wife's shoulder I had to go to bed. Very emotional bloke. Even cried last year when Adam Scott won and he put the green jacket on him.

Storm of swords has been out for 14 years lads, it's your own fault if it's spoilt.

Disagree.... I don't want to be spoiled for all the films/books I haven't been able to see/read in my young life :P

I still haven't seen the Sopranos, but don't want to be spoiled.

I have read ASoS though :P Apparently the Red Viper is good in the series?? He's great fun as a character.

What's the deal with booking a table @ Bison Bar?

I had it in my head that you couldn't, but their site says you can mail or ring.

Sent a mail this time yesterday and I've heard nothing since...

I've never been able to book a table there. I rang once and they said they don't take bookings but recommended a time to come in. Can be very hard to grab a table so really you need to get in early if you have any numbers.

    Also, can I come? :D

Yes, if you camp outside awaiting until they open and then spread yourself across a table for 8.

I'll be there at 7:30 on Saturday.

    Cheers :D

I've only ever been able to book a table as a walk-in, they never answer a call. Normally have you seated within 30 minutes or so.

I may be very drunk and very full when you get there, at which point I probably would've lost the table.

    Sounds good.

Tight enough schedule to be keeping that night, unfortunately.

Why can't everyone just acknowledge that FXBs have been doing great meet and beer for decades, ignore the current fads and just go there all the time???

I'm clearly getting too old to be hip :'(
