Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Start with Stronglifts 5x5 or "Starting Strength". Both great beginners programmes.

Yeah heard of 5x5... I'll look into it, cheers!

Example of one of the sessions would be:

    Power Snatch
    Power Clean
    Power Jerk

Now, I know what these are, but I don't know the technique etc.

If you want size you're not going to get it doing olympic lifts ak. Great for strength but for the more aesthetic minded among us exercises geared toward hypertrophy are much better for putting on bulk

Yeah there's a hypertrophy section in this program too... but I'm not a forward! :D I'm really not looking for mass, I want to try and develop speed/power so I want to isolate my glutes/quads/hams for explosiveness...

Also, not quite off topic, but anyone who's a bit more at the advanced stage of this kind of stuff and are serious about rugby you should check out this program. It's a little cheap in terms of 'production', but the guy seems to be really into his stuff and the way you can customize your program to fit your season/position/level is quite good...

Unfortunately seems a little too advanced for me, but for €20 odd quid with a discount from rugbydump it seems worth it.

Actually the link for it seems to be down, I'll add it up later for anyone interested.

As a fellow back I wouldn't discount size completely AK. Obviously strength and power are important but having that extra few kg of lean/even not so lean mass on you can be the difference between breaking a tackle or getting tackled!

Best of luck with gyming though.

On a side note, has anyone bought any of the supplements lidl are stocking? I bought the creatine yesterday, at 9.99 it's reallly good value. Not quiet creapure but you can't go too wrong with creatine. Not sure if I would try the whey they have, it's not even that cheap in comparison to online stuff

I did try a few of the oatmeal protein cookies. Pretty horrible stuff but 33grams of protein for 2euro ain't bad!

I'd not go near the whey tbh. It works out at something like 46% protein, with a load of sugar, and as you say isn't that cheap. I'll stick with Protein Works thank you very much

Consecutive sixes and Ireland are leaking runs heavily. Tide has turned significantly and England will do it if they maintain this play.

100 runs off 17 overs with 6 wickets in hand, it's still nicely in the balance. Ireland need a wicket or two though.

I defo need bulking up too, but that won't be my priority for a while.

Yeah can't go wrong with creatine for a 10er... so long as it's not full of other crap.

Winter is closing in and some foxes prefer to hibernate. Unlike Kiwis, Swiwis have wings and seasonally migrate. Winter=rugby season, and that drew Swiwi back across the globe.

I'm an Apple man, but I'm fairly ambivalent to it all at this stage. These updates tend to have a couple of bits that look good to start with but ultimately don't have any lasting impact on how I use the phone. It looks nice and there are 1 or 2 decent looking features, but until I download it and check it out I'm assuming it's more of the same really. A load of changes that mean little to nothing for me.

Putting commonly used features such as wifi, torch, calculator etc in the one spot will be handy. But a lot of it is just making it look more pretty, which is the most important thing of course.

I like Connemara - it's wild, but maybe not quite in the sense you're looking for.

Otherwise, I'm reminded of going to a trendy Asian bar in Belfast (true story). Everyone was dressed a bit flash, except for one guy who was clearly there at GFs request, and was wearing a rugby top. He ordered a drink, and when the barman popped the creation onto the bar, the man looked disgusted. "What's this?", he asked. "It's your Pina colada", the barman replied. "No, I asked for a pin' o' lager!", the man replied. Just about wet myself laughing. About 30 minutes later, the Pina colada was untouched, and the lad was downing a Carlsberg or such.

I have to say myself and missus enjoyed Belfast, fairly cheap compared to Dublin also.

This is a bit weird but..... I had a dream that ROG was brought on as an emergency injury sub in a Racing match and scored a brilliant individual try from about 40m, including a fantastic hand-off on someone resembling Gorgodze.

And then after match, I saw him on stage at some music festival..... that was on in my back garden.

    Really odd dream

I'm pretty sure you give it back to the employer and they forward it onto your local revenue office. It's an employer's form when the employee doesn't have a P45.

Crap, they told me to sort it with the revenue. Presume I just have to drop it into the local government offices myself so!

You could just go into revenue yourself and see what happens alright(although at a guess they'll tell you to go through your employer). There's nothing to lose really. The employer is supposed to send it in so they can get a tax credits certificate back.

I just checked the Revenue website to make sure I was right and every reference is to the employer completing it.

Just looking this is even on the form

What to do when a new employee commences employment and does not provide a Form P45

    • Complete this Form P46 and forward it to your new employee’s Revenue office. Revenue will issue a
tax credit certificate (P2C) to you as soon as possible.
    • If a pay day occurs before receipt of either document you should operate PAYE and USC on the

emergency basis. The current emergency tax rates are published on the Revenue website at:
    www.revenue.ie/en/tax/it/leaflets/emergency-basis.html

It's definitely mean't for the employer.

I'm going to attempt to get through the day without finding out the score of the game so I can watch later. Opening the NFL page a couple times a day is practically a reflex for me at this stage though, so I don't fancy my chances!

That is an awful shame. He specialised in an area of the game that is filled with bluffers and bias on here and showed neither himself. He was one of the few opinions that I valued when watching underage grades.

Belfast or Galway, both great craic and plenty to do for a weekend. Stay in Benedicts if you're heading to Belfast, if you play your cards right you could 'happen' to be there for a HEC game too!

Yeah absolutely, great poster who was a mine of information.

I can only hope that this has been caused by one of the following:

    1. Change of Club, as you said.

    2. Perhaps a sex change, and we shall see Ormond_Lass

    3. He is opening some sort of underage rugby blog/database elsewhere!
