I had a gorgeous one the other day. The meat was practically raw and melt in the mouth. When I make my own an absolute must is a slice of Parma ham.

I found some things expensive and some acceptable. The bars do tend to hike their prices but food and accommodation wasn't too bad. Activities are way overpriced as everyone is there to get their adrenaline rush.

I much preferred the very laid back and quieter places, to be honest. Wanaka was about an hour away and is very quiet but is somewhere I'd happily live.

Kinda surprised they're let eat out so close to game time.

Offered them a coffee (my family own a cafe) but they were in a rush, I asked if they were off to job interviews, heard there was a job opening down in limerick. :pac:

    Dunno if Hayes got it.

I don't think Hayes is the skinny macchiato latte type. :D

Indeed. They should be caged in their sleep pods being fed nutrients via IV and made watch videos of opposition attack patterns.

    :pac:

In all fairness, they're adults and professionals. I'm sure they're allowed head out and eat wherever they want during their down time. Management will trust them to behave themselves and do what's expected of them.

Fair point. Perhaps they're told to stay clear of seafood and chicken in case they get a dodgy stomach?

It's not like a team has ever suffered food poisoning before a big match anyway.

Now where are all the Kiwis...

They were on the Ray Darcy show earlier. Think they are travelling around with the 6 Nations cup and the Triple Crown plate. Didn't catch why but then I suppose you don't question John Hayes on these matters.

Ah, you'd often see them in the cinema and around town generally the night before a match having a cheeky snack. Saw Tommy Bowe and Trimble getting accosted for a few pictures in Cineworld last year and Tommy tucked his sneaky ice-cream behind the girls taking the picture with him.

What's Hayes looking like in retirement? Has he slimmed down? I get a bit worried for the chubbies who don't lose a few pounds but continue to eat as much once they're done.

Actually he has slimmed down. Quinny looked bigger, in terms of height and muscle.

I used to work with a guy who played with Hayes before he went to NZ, which was before he started with Munster, who said that Hayes was very skinny before he went there.

How true this is I dunno but finally I have some insider knowledge :D

I played amnesia allright, but kinda ran away from it. This has a bit more of a coherent feel to it tho, much better production. I also have an irrational fear of insane asylums so I got through about 20 min before switching it off.

Actually great fun playing with someone, my missus usually never pays attention when I'm playing games obviously, but I have my ps 4 hooked up to a 10 foot projector so when i started playing this she was all like 'wtf is that?! No don't go in there Jesus Christ, why would you go in there?'

So she unintentionally had me ****ting myself.

I'm doing a rugby referee course tomorrow in Lansdowne rugby club. Does anyone know anything about where I'm meant to go? Is it in the aviva?

Got one step in the door of Joe Burger @ 7 on Friday evening before almost having my ears ripped off by the blaring "music".

How the hell do people think this environment contributes to a good eating experience?

Turned tail and headed straight to GBK. Took awec's bunless burger approach... it's only then that you realise how much is actually packed into the doubler burgers >_<

  • Administrators Posts: 54,184 Admin ✭✭✭✭✭awec

Yep, with a bun is too much. The bread just ends up filling you up.
