Just recently engaged getting married Summer 2016 and now it comes to picking the venue, turns out its a lot more difficult then we taught!!

We are having a smallish wedding 100 - 120 people looking for somewhere in Cork, Limerick or Kerry. Has anyone any recommendations that will take a small wedding on a Friday or Saturday ?

Picking a venue is a curse. So hard.. Are ye looking for a hotel or house or what kinda of place would ye like

Getting married next summer probably somewhere near Limerick, mainly due to the value for money you dont get in Dublin/London. We're looking at 80-100 people. Heading back this weekend to look at Ballykisteen House beside Limerick junction, Bunratty Castle Hotel and the Woodlands House Hotel in Adare. Been looking at venues for months now.

Its all turning into a bit of a headache for us, thinking about eloping and saving the hassle :D

Just incase tis of any good to ye, these places are mostly around Cork
The Castle Hotel in Macroom - I didn't go to see it but seems to have very good prices
Blackwater Castle Castletown Roche - Great place a little bit more pricey as you rent the entire place out but you get to do what you want with it
Ballyvolane House - Loverly Reception Are but a little bit more pricey would be ideal for a small group as they only have around 8 rooms. So if there are extra you would have to put a bus on.
Inis Beg in Baltimore - Didn't go to see it again but gets great reviews. On an island
Caseys in Baltimore - Pub/Restaurant Prices aren't bad and they have plenty of accommodation, nice cozy place
Ballyvolane House Just outside Clonakilty - Lovely House stepped in music history, the couple running it are very nice, again a place you rent out for the weekend limited accommodation again but there are places close enough

Thanks everyone for the great recommendations I'd love to go for a private country house but the prices are way out of budget, we are hoping to get an all inclusive package for 65 euro or less

Your numbers are too large for country house I'd say. They are usually around the 80 max.

Maybe The Rectory in cork, ballyvolane house, dunraven arms in adare, castle oliver in kilmallock. There's barnabrow as well.. I think they can take 150?

Was at a small family wedding a few yrs ago in the castle hotel in macroom and it was fab

Springford house hotel In mallow is a lovely house and would do small weddings too

Mustard seed in ballingarry limerick is amazing but sadly too pricey, as is longueville in mallow

    How about some of the following- they might be more in the price range you have in mind;
Innishannon House -beautiful setting, been to some lovely weddings here.
Celtic Ross Hotel in Rosscarbery, again lovely setting right on the water.
The parkway hotel in Dunmanway- not much to look at from the outside but they do very good food and always put on a good day.
Silver springs hotel think they do some deal along the lines of 100 ppl for €5000 and its 50 extra per head after that. That includes welcome reception and meal. Might have changed recently but its something to look into anyway.

We called down to Innishannon for a looksee and it is loverly the rooms are loverly and quirky..Only thing with them is they charge 450 for the bar extension, if you don't want the extension we were told you would have to finish the music and hour early and clear out of the room and wait for the residences bar.. That and to have the ceremony there tis 250 extra aslo that includes chairs..
