wooly lambs ear.

Hi can anyone tell me where in Dublin I can find a plant called wooly lambs ear? Also would this be considered an old fashioned grannies garden plant?Not that there is anything wrong with that I find it a lovely thing reminds me of my granny's garden. Thanks

I haven't seen it around but cineraria maritima is similar in colour and texture and I have seen this everywhere in garden centres, large DIY stores etc. I think it would serve the same purpose in a planting scheme. You can get multi-packs cheap.

Its this one: Stachys Byzantina Lanata - I knew it as lanata, haven't seen it since about the '70s :-)
