Forgot to cancel standing order

    Hi
    A standing order that I was meant to cancel early this month but forgot to, was taken out of my account yesterday. I have since cancelled the standing order but what is the procedure to get my money back that was taken from my account?

    Thanks for posting and welcome to Boards.ie

    Unfortunately there is no way to cancel a Standing Order once it has left your account and has been processed. 

    If the standing order is going to a Bank of Ireland Deposit Account, it may be possible to give notice to withdraw from the account although this would depend on the Deposit Account type.

    If you need to check details on this, please all Bank of Ireland 365 on 0818 365 365 / +353 1404000 and a representative will offer assistance. 

    Representative assisted hours are 8am - 12midnight Mon - Fri and 9am - 6pm Sat, Sun and Bank/Public Holidays.
