    I can't recall there being much help out there for mortgage holders - just the mortgage lenders!!!

    Hmmm I suppose the lack of repossessions and all these deals out there to keep people in their homes, who aren't paying their mortgage at all or who are paying a lot less than what they are meant to be.
    Who do you think covers the deficit for the bank in this case, especially the state owned ones?
    Why the tax payer of course, many of whom are paying massive amounts of income tax and at the same time renting.
