California hostels

I plan to travel along the coast of California for about a month this summer. I was just wondering if people had any hostels they could recommend in places like San Francisco, Los Angeles etc.....

I stayed in http://www.usahostels.com in San Fransico and Las Vegas decent place and clean and safe. They also do pub crawls etc at night. The San Fran one is right downtown near everything can walk everywhere. They also have a hostel in LA and San Diego should cover all your bases with them
