Central America hostels

hi I will be in central America this summer and was just wondering if there were places people could recommend to stay in (hostels etc). plan to go to places like Mexico (cancun possibly for just 1 night) cuba, Belize, Honduras, Guatemala and costa rica. no real plan so any suggestions are wecome!
