using kitchen waste water

    I believe that using the water from boiling eggs is good for plants that have flowers (the sulphur) but is there a use for starchy water from washing rice?
    I try to reuse water from the kitchen with no detergents as much as possible and would cook rice 2-3 times a week.

    any other uses for such waste waters either?

    The starches from leftover rice water should help encourage beneficial soil bacteria, while the vitamins and minerals will add tiny amounts of NPK to the soil. Make sure the water has cooled to room temperature before you use it. It's also best to avoid using water that you have added salt to

    You could also try cooking rice using the absorption method to reduce waste water where you use enough to fluff the rice but don't need to drain it after. The ratio of rice:water depends on the rice, but the cooking forum would have lots of advice on that.

    The waste water is from washing out the starch, not cooking it. That way it doesn't stick when cooked.
