Too hard to say right now
Both the Cork Charity Cup Final, between Dolphin and Con and Limerick Charity Cup Final between Garryowen and Thomond are this weekend which will be good games.
These are the first round games. Predictions in red
    Cork Constitution v Sundays Well
    Bruff v Midleton
    Kanturk v Thomond
    UL Bohs v Richmond
Shannon v Dolphin - not sure
    Nenagh v Garryowen
Old Crescent v Cashel - not sure
    Highfield v Young Munster

Who's the pick for the Dudley Cup this weekend? UCD or UCC? Thought UCC would have a good shot at it.

No AIL for next few weeks apart from Ards Bruff Saturday
Full round of Senior League action up north, Ballynahinch v Malone probably pick of the games on Saturday

In Leinster, Belvedere face Clontarf and Terenure host UCD in Senior League Cup semi finals and Tullamore travel to Greystones and Wanderers make the trip to Skerries in the League Shield Semi finals

The two Charity Cup finals due to have been played over the weekend were postponed. Next weekend the opening round of Munster Senior Cup takes place with 7 games to be played

Sounds like Belvo Clontarf game was a real cliff hanger - draw after extra time and Clontarf awarded game on basis they were the away side (4 tries each and 1 yellow card each)

Watched the Terenure UCD game. Terenure will be disappointed but UCD did incredibly well playing into a strong wind for all of the 2nd half to hold onto their half-time lead and win. UCD were missing a huge amount of players due to A game.

Interesting results. Strange that side with first try didn't go through or were Clontarf the first try scorers
Would it not have come down to 1st try scorer being declared the winner?
Would depend on rules of competition.

Clontarf did score the first try so no complaints really whatever metric you use although I am surprised this early in the season it could not have gone to a replay

Clubs not want a replay etc

Playing competition as league format is fine but surely a whole province cup tournament should be played for senior cup and competition played in entirety at end of season would be best.

Results of Munster Senior Cup opening round played yesterday. Shame this competition has nothing of the prestige etc it had in past
    Cork Con 34 Sunday's Well 8
    Highfield 8 Young Munster 33
    Kanturk 24 Thomond 27
    Nenagh Ormond 18 Garryowen 20
    Old Crescent 3 Cashel 22
    Shannon 12 Dolphin 13
    UL Bohs 28 Richmond 19

Terenure stretch unbeaten run again. 7 points clear at top. It'll take a very good team to stop this side
Good result for Dolphin considering there horrible start

Huge win in 1B for Trinity. Garryowen will be disappointed to lose that. Shannon bottom but its so close with 3 points between Malone in 4th and Shannon in last

Wesley storming ahead in 2A with City Of Derry struggling at the bottom.

Ards and Richmond look on basis of season so far two most likely to be relegated back to junior. Both winless having conceded a lot In 4 rounds and with 2 to go down automatic for junior its not looking good

Was at the Trinity/Garryowen game-Trinity deserved winners and their scrum was excellent driving GO off many of their own scrums. Both hookers sent off near the end for fighting. Sebastian Fromm at 12 was very good for Trinity as was Du Toit at 7.

Jaysus Naas 0-41 Skerries ?? thought skerries were favourites for relegation ...

Old Wesley look on course for promotion anyways

see terenure have recruited John Cooney , and he's doing well; not sure why leinster let him go , thought he looked a great prospect , whenever he got a chance.

He's still under contract with Leinster, he's just out on loan to Connacht. His contract runs up at the end of this season.

Du Toit is a machine or as the bio about him in the Trinity season programme says "it has been said he can recover a ball from a swiss offshore bank account" :pac:

They're a good side but they've struggled for most of the season against all manners of sides. Naas aren't great and
Wesley have great strength in depth. Mix of usual big group of Wesley college old boys and a significant number of players from clubs around country who had to move to Dublin for work like former Nenagh pair Stephen Harvey and Darren Horan and Ger Finucane ex of Thomond, Cian O Shea and Dave and Mark Rowley who all had played with Garryowen. New pitches in Donnybrook are really suiting their good brand of rugby. They'll be hard to stop

He's only played 20 mins so far for them (other than pre season). The O'Neill brothers have been playing 9.

whatever - just read a report where he played well - nice sub to come on - he's hardly featured for Connacht - just thought he always did well when given a chance with leinster - and especially now with worries over the 9 jersey

To be fair, he's only returning from injury. He ought to feature more for any/all of Terenure, Eagles or Connacht in coming weeks/months.

His 20minute cameo at the weekend was Cooney's first competitive game for Terenure though.

This could be good for Terenure and good for Leinster too. I think Leinster could soon have a crisis at 9 so would love to see Cooney come good.

Very good player just needs someone at pro level to give him a decent run - would rate him ahead of Porter at Connacht

    Thoughts on this weekends games?
Plenty of big derby games etc on tomorrow and Saturday?
Anyone going to a game? Shame games are clashing with international weekend but hard to find room in season to suit all.

UCD Terenure game should be an excellent game - both teams like to throw the ball around. Hopefully the weather won't spoil that.

It should be a good one. Terenure should get the win. Don't UCD have an all weather that game could be played on? So weather shouldn't have too much of an impact

Loads of derby games but Tipperary derby between Cashel and Nenagh Ormond probably tie of the weekend considering there's plenty of Dublin, Limerick, Cork derbies. Not too many of other counties...

Galwegians that bit stronger on basis of performances in league so far but form goes out window in derby games like tonights. Wegians should have enough to win by a score

Ed Byrne did his cruciate against Edinburgh, Barry Daly did his knee against YM, JVDF, Leavy and Coghlan I guess weren't released by Leinster; and Boyle has moved to New Zealand

They are a University club. They go through cycles where they will field very very young teams and university teams are always the youngest you'll see playing adult ball.
Trinity lost out on a lot of 4th/5th years who graduated last year and are fairly young by student standards this season as well.
I assume some of those you name are injured but presime some held back by Leinster perhaps?

Still able to field close to 10 academy players, strong side
