    Hi all,

We have a "do" coming up for 18 people. Family thing. I am the organiser, oh dear!

We have more or less half and half over 50s and their offspring.

Now I'm searching, searching, for a restaurant (not a pub, that can come after) that's lively, and might have a bit of music/Craic thrown in while we are munching.

Anyone any ideas for me please. City centre is good.

    Thanks

I booked this place on Baggot Street a while ago for a birthday party.

We had the 4-course set menu for €17.50. It's great value and the food was very good. Might not suit everybody as it is all Asian food. they also have Teppanyaki which involves the chefs cooking in front of you and providing entertainment - it's more expensive though but really good by all accounts.

They had guys going round with guitars singing etc.

Thanks for the recommendations folks. Much appreciated.

The younger gang, and me! love chaiyo and the Teppenyake. It's great alright.

The rest (mammies, daddies and grannies, aunties) wouldn't. I know, we tried before!

Just a bit of music or singing, or Something to get them going would be good.

    Thank you again.

Not city centre, and at the risk of getting flamed, what about Johnny Foxes?

What about Le Bon Crubeen on Talbot Street. It doesn't have entertainment while you eat but is next to The Celt bar which has live trad music.

I'd say you'll probably have to settle for dinner first and then music and pints afterwards.
