One of the few teams that could have one captain across all formats haven't gone down that route. I would still like AB to give up the gloves but this probably means they're his for a while.

Happy for Amla. Amazing player and really nice person too. Hope he does well. His form hasn't been great but captaincy gave Cook and Clarke's average and 100 count a boost when they took over. Tough job ahead of him though.

    great win today.

Steyn and Morkel picking up 16 wickets, Duminy 100 too.

It was a very brave declaration and it worked out superbly. Obviously its only his first game so don't want to get to excited but initial signs are promising and having watched bits here and their he also used the bowlers very well.

I like the current South Africa side, maybe some concern over Alviro, but isn't their always:D

Seen some, its a tough pitch to score runs on especially against the spinners. Mendis and Tahir have been muck but the others have been very good so its a very admirable century indeed.

Enough is enough for Alviro. Not good enough.

Surprisingly strong lineup for the test in Harare. Would've thought a perfect chance to rest AB and Steyn

Yeah especially as most people are beginning to their focus to ODI cricket with the world cup coming up in a few months.

However can't blame them really, Zimbabwe have been reasonably strong in their rare test matches, they pushed NZ close a few years ago and beat Pakistan last year, and if they were to lose, crikey South Africa would never hear the end of it.

They have dropped Tahir which is sensible, he has had enough chances, may as well see what Piedt can offer.
