Camping in Lahinch?

Hi,
I've been looking in to camp grounds in Lahinch and realised that they are quite limited for tents. I was wondering if there was anywhere off the beaten track where you have just pitched a tent for the night? Thanks.

There is an area there behind the car park where everyone camps. Done it myself a few times and there never has been an issue camping there. 5 minute walk from town too

HI, JUST WONDERING IS THIS AREA STILL AVAILABLE FOR WILD CAMPING. CAN FIND ANYWHERE TO CAMP ON THE WEEKEND OF THE IRISH OPEN

The place will be pretty much on lock down for the golf so I can't imagine you'd be allowed camp anywhere that's not an offical camping site.

@clareman, there has to be somewhere within walkin distance of the golf club where a lad can pitch a tent. Do you know any place?

There is going to be an awful lot of people around with the golf and Willie Clancy, I would imagine that any non-offical camping sites won't be long in being shut down. I'd call around the main ones to see if there's any space

This is what i mean, Don't think i will be forking out 7 hundred quid to rest my head on a pillow for a few hours.

Ill take the chance and pitch in some corner somewhere. Whats the worst that can happen?

Isn't there some hippy organic farm near lahinch?? forget the name...I'm sure theyll let you camp for a night or two

You often see tents in the field across from ocean view caravan park .
Think it was a pitch and putt course.
