First time as a pillion was on the back of his strom over the gap. I was clinching hard on more than just the grab rail.

Looks like we've got a good turnout, weather looks ok - should be a good day! I've updated the first post with the details, some meeting in bray at 9.30, more meeting in Hollywood at 11.30 - then meeting the rest at the Midway M7 at 1pm.

Any additional details to add let me know!

We were rear ended by a truck at about 100kph on the M1, the car which was a loan from the garage was written off. Both of us have whiplash and the paramedics said we were extremely lucky to be alive. We were taken away on boards but given the all clear last night.


My new Shark lid was in the boot and it's all dinged up so it'll have to be replaced. All our ming vases and faberge eggs were destroyed as well :pac:

I am heading to kildare in the morning for a spin 1st....meeting at 9:30. Why not meet me in slane its only down the road from you on nice roads and come with us 3 to the meet.

Let me know, it will be a better spin with other bikers then all the way to PL on your own.

Dagnabbit guys, I think I'm going to flake out on yiz. I was supposed to be working until lunchtime today and was going to give the bike the necessary post rebuild nut'n'bolt re-squeeze (and investigate some rough running) but particularly the headstock bearing needing a good squeeze up again. Unfortunately I got caught to stay on into the late evening (all I've been doing lately is working) meaning I haven't had any time to look the bike over. This means I'll have zero confidence to ride all the way from Cork early in the morning and head out for the spin tomorrow.

It would have been the ideal opportunity to meet all of you but before the summer's out, you'll see me at one of the other ride-outs.

Fair play for organising this- I will regret not making it.
