Hey lads,First time posting in this section :)
Myself and a couple of friends are looking for a nice place to do some bushcraft/survival camping over a weekend.
All of us have had some kind of outdoors background wether it be Scouting,Hunting all the way up to military backgrounds so we don't mind getting wet and mucky :)

We are looking for some place not too far from Dublin (No more than 2 hours drive or so) That will allow us to setup a bushcraft camp. We don't mind walking/hiking at all if the place is not accessible by road.

One more thing we are looking for is a area that won't mind if we start a small fire but this would not be 100% necessary

If anyone has any suggestions please let me know :)

You could consider contacting these guys. They have a survivalist group that meets to practise bushcraft, etc.

Some of their stomping grounds might be on the outer limits of a two hour range from Dublin, but what they do sounds relevant to what you want to do. They could probably recommend suitable camping areas to you.
