Distant thunder and showers near Tralee this evening ( heavy shower atm ), haven't seen any lightning yet.

Looking at the radar it dosnt look like it will be too bad you'd wonder why there was a warning for severe thunderstorms...

12Z WRF NMM shows things kicking off in the southwest around midnight, developing into more intense linear features at times and moving along the south and midlands during the morning then reaching the southeast and eastern parts later in the morning and early afternoon. Could be some intense rainfall at times.

Sounds like a slow moving system then.
Guess il have to wait for the morning for some action.

It sums up met eireann really suggesting severe thunderstorms in an earlier text forecast.
Absolutely no basis for it tbh

Yes a thundery shower risk but that's it
