Amazing lightening but unfortunately it's set of the world's most annoying house alarm that's now waking up half the neighbourhood! :(/:( some of us have work and stuff to do in the morning!

Only 2 loud distant rumbles here so far in birth county cork but it's lashing rain right now so I guess what was with ye in cork city is nearly here. Delighted because mr Lucy is here tonight and I'm a total wuss with thunder, I nake the kids more traumatised!! He is the voice of reason.

Thanks thunder ... 25 mins of stupid deafening alarms and I have meetings at 7:30…
Why oh why does Irish law allow this :(:(:(

Another band passing northwest over west cork. Raining now but lightning still flashing. Spent 15 mins out at gable of the house watching and timing. Some severe flashes.

Alarm now sounding since 12:25… I need ear plugs. This is so unfair!
The lightening was very cool but this is going to probably result in me losing a contract tomorrow due to making a bad impression.

Looks like another cell about 30 mins away from cork city.

A half a dozen flashes over Waterford city and South Kilkenny since around 4:30am.
They were blinding, last strike was pretty near, power blinked for a sec.

Lots of activity overnight especially around 4.30am when we had some huge claps and extremely bright lightning. Could still hear thunder and flashes up to about 40mins ago.

    Today's Weather
Heavy thundery showers across the South and Mid-west will gradually extend to the rest of the country this morning and will lead to localized spot flooding. Highest temperatures of 12 to 14 degrees.

    There's hope yet..
