What is the difference between maths paper 1 and 2 and what to study for each

I am doing Ordinary Maths tomorrow but as far as I know:
PAPER 1:
- Has a lot to to with sets, Distance Speed And Time, Algebra, Working out Tax and Bills etc...
PAPER 2:
- Mostly has geometry, Measurements, Area And Volume etc...

What theorems/constructions are most likely to come up on paper 2? Or is it best to know them all?

Typically, the theorems they ask are theorem 14 and 19 (circle/pythagoras) though it isn't uncommon for them to ask the other three, just they are deemed as "easier" to learn, I would recommend learning all of them as you'd be kicking yourself if the ones you didn't study came up.

For constructions; the same scenario, it's best to know them all because, they really could ask any.

Last years exam sitters were lucky in the fact they asked 0 theorems and constructions.

Hard to know.formal proofs of theorems 4,6 9 14 and19 supposed to be known off by heart.thm 19 came up 2012 and none last year.work for the weekend as paper 2

That's what our teacher said.
You'll be grand, anyway, just spend a couple of hours going over them on the weekend.
Projectmaths.ie goes through them interactively if you download java & geogebra, might help.

Your best bet is to go over paper 1 in exam papers.just those that have been given by state exam commission or samples fromSEC. Bound to be similar.

I find the SEC samples a lot easier than the Educate.ie samples, hopefully tomorrow won't be too hard 😖

Is it a new curriculum or the same as last year?

If its a new one does that mean its impossible to know the marking scheme or type of questions?

There's usually a page with pure algebra, simplifying or factorising, know the difference of 2 squares, algebraic fractions & quadratic trinomials and all that

ugh, i haven't a clue what to go over tomorrow I'm grand for algebra but the equation of the line and just all the quadratic equations confuse me! May have to wing it
