Shortly after 5, I think. They upload all the day's papers at the same time.

Cheers man, you waiting to dissect it too? :D

What answer did you get to the average value out of curiosity?

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,673 ✭✭✭aleatorio

Sweet mother divine that was a beautiful paper holy crap <3
Everything I loved came up, with the exception of Q3 induction, which I knew the first part for and had a vague idea of the other two parts XD

Few things to run by ye:

a in the log arithmetic sequence was e^2 or 7.4

    Average value was -8

Area under the bridge thingy was 239? (Very iffy about that one)

And for the last q on why the value will always increase, was it because e^kt has no limit? :o

Such a lovely paper, I actually enjoyed myself doing it.

    Same :pac:

Yeah as a total hater of p1, I reckon I got about 50% in it. Amazing for me!
First few qs were grand, bit of tricky part Cs.
    Lovely first principles differentiation too!
Struggled immensely with the last two questions, was expected though.
Over all, I'm fairly happy :D

  • Registered Users Posts: 910 ✭✭✭little sis...

Didn't have enough time to go back over questions I wanted to do.....
Don't think I got a chance to work out the very last Q fully.

Anyway it was MUCH nicer than the DEB mock so I should be happy I guess

    NO FINANCIAL MATHS :D:D:D:D:D:D

Loved questions 1, 4, 5, 8 was nice up until the last bit , got a bit lost under time pressure and didn't like the very last bit of last question tho :/ could have definately been much worse though

Crudge.... I got 140 under the bridge

    3 section B questions were 40, 50 and 60 markers respectively, instead of 3 straightforward 50's

Overall a nice enough paper happy with how it went. A lot of focus on functions as they're new for this year, 25 markers on complex numbers, proof by induction, functions...financial maths didn't show it's face at all, however sequences and series featured in a 25 marker

Generally should be considered to be a handy paper

Was the sixty marker question 9?

  • Registered Users Posts: 641 ✭✭✭yohan the great

The long questions ****ed me up badly

  • Registered Users Posts: 256 ✭✭Saskatchewan

    Wasn't the worst paper ever. Some of the questions offered a little bit of a challenge, but most were ok. One of the questions had appeared before though. Not really a paper worth getting excited about;

Dang my average value was 1.

    Yep
    Q7-40mark
    Q8-50mark
    Q9-60mark

Oh ya does anybody know what A was equal to in the question about boiling water?

  • Registered Users Posts: 221 ✭✭Shane15

I did absolutely terrible, I feel so stupid lmao. And no financial maths?!

  • Registered Users Posts: 256 ✭✭Saskatchewan

Dang my average value was 1.

I got an average value of 5 and 234 m^2 under the Bridge

That question pissed me off, I couldn't get my head around it.

Boiling point - room temp =77

    Well that was a disaster
    What happened to financial maths???
I couldn't even get the first principles question to work out!
Ah well, I'm better at paper 2 anyway. Maybe that will redeem me...

  • Registered Users Posts: 905 ✭✭✭Ompala

Yep! :o But it's only warm up for Fri 20th ;)

I'll see you there, I'm gonna be very rusty for it though :pac:

Got the same average value and area under curve I think...can't remember the rest.
I couldn't get PB^2 in that pythagorean q ...looked simple but couldn't get it :o

This is what I got too, I assumed it was wrong though.

**** then I got the wrong value for k in that question hopefully I get a decent amount of attempt marks. Other than that everything seemed fine.

  • Registered Users Posts: 40 LeavingCertee

Don't forget about all the marks they give for method! Even if you're answers weren't spot on for a question like a parabola one but you're method was sound they'll give you the majority of the marks

  • Registered Users Posts: 274 ✭✭2thousand14

Thought the long questions were easier than the short questions

Omg I was the same! So I just subtracted the other two eqns from the total and wrote it beside it with some bull****ted workings to make it look like I had a method :pac:
