Fair play to the ref cold have easily just given a yellow due to a friendly, but that was a horrible elbow pure blatant. Although ruins the game to an extent.

The lads have been sitting off the man on the ball way too much at times. Quite a change from the performance against Italy. Still, they've all been looking to get on the ball and pass it, so that's good.

First time I've watched Ireland in a good while and they look alright on the ball.

Doyle didn't seem to be caught heavily, but bled heavily alright. I thought the referee had initially booked the defender.

This brings back memories of living in Brazil years back...watching the EPL on ESPN and the Brazilian commentators making a mess of many names. My favourite memories however, were the commentators translating Dean Whitehead's surname and chuckling away. And casually calling Rooney Shrek A bit harsh!
