How long for weissberr to ferment?

    Hi all,

    I made a batch of weissbeer on thursday evening with the following:

    1.5kg LME
    1.5kg Wheat malt extract
    Maribrew weiss yeast
    60g of hops in two stages, 30 and 60.

    It started bubbling in the airlock within 12 hours. I don't have a hydrometer as one of the kids dropped it down the stairs!

    How long should I let it in the primary fermenter before I prime and bottle?

    I'd expect about two weeks, which will give you time to get a new hydrometer. Don't bottle it until you're sure the gravity has stopped dropping.
