Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Why couldn't they play the second game of this group tonight?

    Teasing bastards.

Pubs are closed in most of Europe maybe, or it gives this match more emphasis as the sole match tonight.

I doubt FIFA care about the pubs being open and in other years the opening games of the group have been on the same day.

    Never a peno.

Kaka deserves much more than a seat in the stands. Even to this day, he'd tear into that Croatia defence.

Interesting fact a penalty is usually something one would not want to receive in life , but tonight it's not the case at all.

    Scandalous

Now we and the whole world know the whole thing is a fix.
Brazil get a penalty for nothing but to restore order.
Can't have that Croatian crowd upsetting things.

Very surprised Ramires isn't starting for that team.

He'll work as hard as anyone, has good positional sense and would bring some pace/threat when they're attacking.

They look a fairly functional team tbh and could do with him.

Ah sure he toed it in. That would have been disallowed in Playground Rules.

Play-acting & compliant officials make it hard though.

I wouldn't worry about Brazil too much. Netherlands or Chile would do a job on them in the second round if they keep playing like that.

It's attitudes like that that ensure that the men's game will never be taken seriously. You should be ashamed of yourself for objectifying this beautiful dance.
